There are so many health trends these days, it can be tough to sort through the mess. Realistically we all need to find something that is sustainable for our lifestyle.

Humans are physically complex but have been likened to a "machine" in may different settings. If you think about it in that manner, we all know that each machine has a particular type of fuel it must use in order to run smoothly for its lifetime. Most people know inherently that humans run on food that is grown rather than created, boxed, canned, and thrown on a shelf.

I remember reading before that we should "keep the food we choose to eat as close to the natural state we in which we found it". That being said means to me the food we eat and fluids we drink should be as "close to the garden" as possible. When things are processed, chemicals, sugar, preservatives, and more are added, most of what is in the package does not even resemble food.

Try getting more of your food from the produce section, the farmer's market, or a garden, in order to experience a more plant based diet. Go to the garden first and then add in a few treats once in awhile. Your body will have more energy and health when it is fed real nutrition.
